A factory or warehouse building with good height and space can be an excellent start for planning some industrial partitioning. There are several purposes for installing such partitioning with advantages of energy costs, safety improvements, protecting expensive machinery and noise reduction.
The flexibility of this industrial partitioning allows a good contractor to plan, design and assemble a nice construction in a short space of time. From panels with viewing windows and single or double doors, there are a multitude of different combinations to suit your space and specification.
Types of partitioning
Depending on what you want to use the partitioning for, the standard choice is single skin, double skin or composite partitioning. Usually single and double skin are the main choice. Standard colour of white but there are options of other colours for example grey (other colours may be an additional cost but worth asking your contractor this question to ensure you are not left mislead).
Open or closed roof
Depending on budget, we would always recommend a ceiling/roof to enclose the section or cubicle. This is to minimise dust and dirt and offer more of a private area. You may need to strongly consider ventilation if machinery or strong substances will be used or stored within this area and therefore this needs to be part of your industrial partition planning and drawing process.
The best type of roofs is the walk on style as the steel wire (hanging roofs) look unsightly and can spoil the finished look. If you can find the additional money to add to the budget for a walk on roof, go for it! You will be happier in the long-run as it will offer you storage space (as an option) and the ability to create a much tidier looking warehouse or factory floor.
Acoustic partitioning can be added to reduce the noise for instances where noisy machines are going to be housed within the area. Again, this will be an additional cost so make sure you allow for this type of facility or preference within the budget.
Flexible Design and Use
For large manufacturing companies, the industrial partitioning units have created a great source for rest areas or meeting rooms/offices. Their flexibility has several purposes, with doors to an office type room to extended doors for the likes of folk lift trucks. Whether it is for storage, staff or machinery, single or double skin partitioning panels are an excellent option to create your warehouse or factory floor into a clean, tidy and impressive set up.
There is even an option to create an impressive sales or meeting area, fitted out with storage, TV, Aircon and meeting room. Imagine showing your clients around your building, demonstrating the neatly housed and protected machinery and then sitting down in the bespoke built meeting room. All branded with your company logo and tag line to ensure that clients get the message of your company from entering the front door, right up to the last point of your warehouse or factory floor.
